Terms and conditions

We invite you to carefully read our terms and conditions, which govern your use of LuxID. They inform you about your rights and responsibilities when using LuxID. By using LuxID, you accept these terms of use. You will always find the most recent version on this page.

  • LuxID is a single login system from a company called POST Luxembourg (or just "POST"). Basically, you use one username and password to access different online services.

  • Some of these services are from POST, and others are from different companies.

  • Please read this before using LuxID.

  • By using LuxID, you’re saying you understand and agree to these rules.

  • If you use other services with LuxID, there might be more rules for those.

  • If you don’t agree with these rules, don't use LuxID.

  • If you're under 16 years old, you need your parents or guardian to say it's okay.

  • POST might ask you to prove who you are or that your parents or guardian gave permission.

  • To start using LuxID, sign up using an email and a password.

  • Keep your login details a secret. Don’t let anyone else use your LuxID.

  • If something seems wrong with your account, like someone else using it, tell POST right away.

  • Use LuxID properly. Don’t break any rules or laws, and don't cause harm to LuxID or other services.

  • LuxID is free, but some services you access with it might cost money. You must pay for those.

  • Make sure any personal information you give through LuxID is correct.

All the stuff that makes up LuxID – like software and logos – belongs to POST. You can use LuxID, but you don’t own any part of it.

  • POST tries to make sure LuxID works well, but sometimes they might need to change or stop it. They’ll try to tell you ahead of time if they can.

  • You use LuxID at your own risk. If something bad happens because you used LuxID, POST isn't responsible unless they really messed up on purpose or were super careless.

  • Also, POST isn't responsible for the content on the other services you access with LuxID or problems with other companies you deal with through LuxID.

If you just made a LuxID account and change your mind within 14 days, you can close your account without giving a reason. Do it online or send an email to support@luxid.lu. After 14 days, check the next section on how to close your account.

  • You can close your LuxID account anytime online.

  • If you break the rules, POST can shut down your account. They'll tell you what went wrong and may give you a chance to fix it.

  • If you never activate your LuxID or don't use it for a long time (a set number of days or months), POST might close it. They'll tell you if they do.

  • Once your account is closed, you can't use LuxID to access services. Make sure you wrap up anything pending before closing it.

  • If a different company says you broke their rules, POST might stop you from using their service through LuxID. If that happens, it's not POST’s fault if something pending doesn't get completed.

  • POST might pause your LuxID if they think someone else got your login details, for maintenance, or due to big, unexpected events. They'll tell you if they can before they do it.

POST can change these rules. They'll tell you if they do. If you keep using LuxID after that, it means you're okay with the changes. If you're not okay, you can tell them in writing within 30 days. If you do, they might close your account.

  • These rules follow Luxembourg's laws.

  • If there's a legal issue, it'll be dealt with in Luxembourg's courts.

If you want to know how your personal info is used, check out the privacy notice at https://www.luxid.lu/informations-legales/protection-des-donnees.

If a part of these rules doesn't work for some reason, the rest of the rules still apply. Both sides will try to replace any part that doesn't work with something similar.
